Since
1896, Children's Home Society of Washington has committed its resources
to supporting children. We began by finding "a home for every
child" as an alternative to orphanages. Today, our mission
continues to stress the importance of families and communities:
"To develop healthy children, create strong families, build engaged communities and speak and advocate for children. By meeting this mission, we make significant strides toward the CHSW vision of a world where all children thrive."
Children's
Home Society's identity is greater than any one individual. For
almost a century it has been shaped by all who have shared in its
work. Over the years, we have had many successes, some large, some
small, but none would have been possible without the support and
generosity of our donors, volunteers, and advocates. They form a
unique circle, a circle whose support nurtures the very spirit of
the organization and makes the day-to-day work possible. It is through
their support that we are able to embrace the challenges of today
- and tomorrow.
