Out-of-Home Care/Foster Care

All children need support, especially those who've experienced a difficult start in life. Our out-of-home/foster care programs provide temporary, nurturing care to children who cannot remain in the home with their birth parents.

Foster Care Services

Specially trained foster parents provide safe, loving homes to children who are unable to stay with their birth families. We recruit foster parents, help them through the licensing process, and provide support to make a foster home placement a positive experience. The goal is for children to eventually return to their birth families.

Therapeutic Foster Care

Therapeutic Foster Care is a more intense form of foster care, with all referrals coming in through the State. Specially trained foster parents can provide a home for these children, with the goal of returning the child to his or her birth family or helping the child transition to a permanent, loving family if return to home is not possible. We recruit and license foster parents and provide case management and support to families and children throughout the placement. Formerly known as Youth Advocates.

  • This program is available in Kent (formerly known as Youth Advocates) and Wenatchee.
