Walla Walla partners break ground on teen center
For the past few months, Children’s Home Society of Washington in Walla Walla has been working closely with our remarkable partners Catholic Charities, The Health Center and Blue Mountain Action Council to make a new teen center a reality.
The teen center took a step closer over the summer when Children’s Home Society of Washington’s longstanding supporter Sherwood Trust contributed $280,000 toward the project. I want to thank Sherwood Trust and all our community partners for making this possible.
This month, we will break ground the new $2.2 million teen center with the targeted date for opening in spring 2017. It will house an overnight shelter, health and mental health clinic and an early learning center that supports 20 children of teen parents.
