New signature services director joins team
As outlined in our 2016-21 Strategic Plan, our signature services are the foundation of our new hub locations that will be established in the next five years in each of our communities. To prepare for these hub locations, we have established signature service director roles that will help guide Children’s Home Society of Washington in providing integrated and high quality services in all our communities.
I’m honored to announce that Roseann Martinez has been selected to serve as our signature services director for Child & Family Counseling and Adoption & Secure Families. Roseann will work alongside Cathy Garland, our signature services director for Early Learning and Family Support.
Roseann has more 30 years of experience in child and family services. She recently served as the children’s mental health program manager for the Washington State Department of Social Health Services.
She is also familiar with the work of Children’s Home Society of Washington and our foundation. She previously served as vice president from 1997 to 2002 and director of planning and operations from 1985 to 1991.
She was also the executive director of Children’s Trust Foundation from 1993-1997. In 2014, Children’s Home Society of Washington and the Children’s Trust Foundation formed a new foundation called the Children’s Home Society & Trust Foundation, which focuses on supporting services that serve thousands of children and families in need.
You may also recognize her from her years as a consultant for Martinez Arneson Consulting where she provided community and organization strategic planning services for nonprofit and professional organization or from her time as an adjunct social work faculty member at the University of Washington, Tacoma, and Pacific Lutheran University.
She holds a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Washington and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Westmont College located in Santa Barbara, Calif.
We welcome Roseann back to Children’s Home Society of Washington and look forward to working together on creating our new hub locations in our communities.
Libby Hein is the chief program officer for Children’s Home Society of Washington.
