21-year Children’s Home Society of Washington (CHSW) veteran team member Kristin (Kris) Collier has been named the new North Central regional director. She most recently served as a program manager for the WISe program (Wraparound with Intensive Services) which provides comprehensive, specialized services for children with behavioral health needs and their families.

Kris learned of CHSW long before she came to work for the organization when she and her husband Brian were foster parents for 25 years, utilizing CHSW’s services in 1995 to provide support for one of her foster children.

Given her passion for supporting children and families and her knowledge of CHSW from personal experience, Kris began her 21+ year career with the organization in 2002, working as a direct service staff member in the Therapeutic Foster Care Program. Two years later, she became the supervisor of that program, increasing responsibilities over the next several years to include supervising the Readiness to Learn program, and then our evidence-based parenting programs. In 2009, she transitioned to Program Manager. Over the years, Kris has provided excellence in programming and has been critical to success and growth in the North Central Washington region.

“I am honored to take on this leadership role within my community, and I know there is more work to be done to deepen our engagement with families throughout the region,” said Kris Collier, North Central regional director. “Our reimagined approach to holistic family support, coupled with other exciting changes statewide and in our backyard will only continue to enrich our ability to show up for and support families how they need us, when they need us, to continue succeeding in all aspects of life.”

Kris’ rich history with and knowledge of the industry, community and organization make her a natural and strong choice for this leadership role within the organization.

Kris is a long-time resident in the Wenatchee, Wash. community. She and her husband have five adult children, three dogs and “some” cats.
