As we move toward our vision for the future, we are taking steps to prepare our communities for our hub locations that will provide integrated, comprehensive services to our children and their families.
I am excited to announce Andy Tucker will serve as the Vancouver community director leading our sites in Clark and Cowlitz counties.
Andy is a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Washington who has spent his entire career helping children and families in various capacities. He has worked for schools, private organizations, and nonprofit agencies as a counselor, clinical supervisor and educator. He is passionate about delivering family-focused services that support children in developing social and emotional competency, and improving service delivery systems.
Most recently, he has worked for Children’s Home Society of Washington as a senior clinical program manager, overseeing Child & Family Counseling, Family Support, and Early Learning signature services in Clark and Cowlitz counties. He has been instrumental in implementing the new Child & Family Counseling at Children’s Home Society of Washington and is currently the co-chair of the Southwest Washington Community Behavioral Health Provider Alliance.
As Andy transitions into his new role, Cathy Garland who has been serving as Vancouver community director part time will move full time into her role as Early Learning and Family Support signature services director. This role also includes serving as the director of Early Head Start/Head Start.
We also recently hired Roseann Martinez who is serving as the Child & Family Counseling and Adoption & Secure Families signature services director. In these roles, our signature services directors will be committed to ensuring the highest quality services for our children and families statewide by keeping informed on best practice and standards for the industry.
Children’s Home Society of Washington has a long tradition of leadership and being in the forefront of cutting-edge services and support for children, families and communities throughout Washington state. We look forward to working alongside these leaders to make our goals for the future a reality.
Libby Hein serves as the chief program officer for Children’s Home Society of Washington.
