In summer 2014, Children’s Home Society of Washington in Spokane opened a new counseling office located within the Northeast Community Center at 4001 N. Cook St. We were excited to open a counseling office that was the first of its kind in North Spokane.
Demand has been significant since we opened our doors, and just this month, we expanded the space to add four more counseling offices.
Our Child & Family Counseling program at the Northeast Community Center also connects children and their families to other community providers. The center serves as an example of a “hub” location where families can get access to all the services they need in one convenient location.
In the 2016-21 Strategic Plan, Children’s Home Society of Washington highlights an ambitious plan approved by our Board of Trustees to develop seven “hub” locations around the state, including the Galland-Ashlock Family Resource Center in the Spokane Valley. I look forward to sharing our progress with you.
